Heidi has spent her entire adult career caring for others.  Throughout her career she has listened to and cared for thousands of patients. In doing so, she has a true understanding on what is important - family, health, stability, prosperity, and legacy. She is running to become your next State Representative to refocus Michigan's government to what really matters. 

EDUCATION

Heidi Warrington has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan-Flint.  She is pursuing her master's degree in Master of Science in Nursing: Nurse Executive from Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her master's degree will be attained in 2022.  She earned her Associate Degree from Oakland Community College in Science Nursing. 

PROFESSIONAL 

Nursing program coordinator, advocate, and researcher with over ten years of experience coordinating implementing, and evaluating community programs. She has built and strengthened partnerships with service provide community leaders, and other stakeholders to increase health awareness in urban communities.  She has a strong academic background in global health, financing of health programs, health leadership models, and mixed-methods research design.

SERVING HER COMMUNITY
Warrington is Chief Nursing Officer at Common Ground, a $23 million not-for-profit behavioral health agency in Oakland County. She also actively contributed to public health-related professional organizations, university organizations, and nursing organizations through leadership, service, and mentoring. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Art Experience, Inc, which is an art non-profit organization focused on healing arts and the disabled. Heidi is the founder of Create Recovery - Art Therapy Program for Stroke Survivors and Carefgivers. She also is a founding member and presented for Stroke Support Group. She is a proud sponsor of several heart and stroke recovery and awareness organizations.

PERSONAL
Heidi Warrington is a lifelong resident of the 43rd House District. She has called Clarkston or Waterford home her entire life and graduated from Clarkston High School.   She is a former small business owner and real estate owner.  Heidi has two children. Her son, Ray, is a junior at Clarkston High and her daughter, Olivia, is a junior at University of Detroit. She loves to downhill ski, golf, cook, and travel. Heidi is one of seven children and she worships at Kensington Church.
